Dr. Patel received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York and completed his surgery and urology training at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan.

Dr. Patel's special areas of interest in addition to general urology are minimally invasive robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery, kidney stones, minimally invasive treatments for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), "no scalpel" vasectomy and clinical research trials.
