Dr. Shepherd earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford and completed her residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Quincy. “In high school, I really wanted to follow in my parents’ footsteps and become a dentist,” says Dr. Shepherd. “I learned shortly after high school that dentistry was not for me, but I knew I still wanted to do something in health care.” Born and raised in Rushville, Dr. Shepherd enjoys how special it is to provide care in a rural community and get to know her patients outside of the office. Her scope of practice will range from birth to end of life. “I want my patients to know that I am here to work with them to help them reach their health care goals,” says Dr. Shepherd.
