Today we joined the American Red Cross along with other volunteers in Federal Way to install free smoke alarms; this was part of the American Red Cross nationwide campaign, Sound the Alarm, in an effort to create awareness on fire safety. Home fires claim seven lives every day, but having working smoke alarms can cut the risk of death by half. Check your smoke alarms periodically and create an escape plan.
