Dr. Hooper, a native of East Texas, graduated as Valedictorian from High Island High School before earning his B.A. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Baylor University. His passion for optometry grew through shadowing a local optometrist and working in a commercial optical setting. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston in 2004 and has been serving East Texans in Tyler, TX, for 20 years. Dr. Hooper is dedicated to comprehensive eye care, from routine exams to managing chronic conditions. He lives in Arp with his wife, Lara, and their two children, and they enjoy volunteering, hiking, and exploring national parks.
