Dr. Watson is a 4th-generation Floridian, born in Tampa and grew up in Tampa and Fort Lauderdale. He graduated from the University of Tampa and then attended the University of Florida Physician Assistant Program in Gainesville. Dr. Watson began his medical career as a physician assistant (PA) for 15 years, working mostly at Shands in Gainesville before starting medical school. During medical school, he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. Dr. Watson graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine and completed his residency training in Family Medicine in the University of Florida Family Practice Residency Program. He is a board-certified in Family Medicine and has practiced continuously in communities in Eustis, Mount Dora and Leesburg, Florida. ‍Dr. Watson lives in Eustis with his wife, Sonya who makes jewelry. He enjoys flying, boating and photography and plays blues harmonica. Dr. Watson looks forward to serving you in Tavares with personalized, compassionate, complete medical care and health promotion.
