Dr. John Richard (J.R.) Nicholson, III joined Clearview Cancer Institute in 2020. He is a native of North Alabama and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Birmingham-Southern College. He graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine in 2007, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine in 2014 and a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology in 2017. He is board certified in Hematology and Oncology and Internal Medicine. Following his graduation, he practiced at the Cancer Center of Huntsville for 3 years. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Medical Association of State of Alabama.
