I grew up in Fort Morgan, Colorado. I attended undergrad as a collegiate wrestler at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. I stayed on coaching staff at the University of Wyoming in graduate school until moving to Northwest Community College to become their head wrestling coach and a psychology instructor. After spending time coaching and teaching I realized I had a passion to pursue a Medical Degree and moved to Omaha, Nebraska to attend medical school and residency at Creighton University.

Growing up my mother was a labor and delivery nurse. After medical school I soon realized that I would prefer to be a part of celebrating bringing life into the world, and the joy it brought to families, more than some of the other specialties. This, coupled with the surgical side of OB/GYN led me to my career path. I have had 21 years in this specialty and have since pursued certification in Robotic Surgery, which has changed the way women can recover and get back to living their best lives.

After practicing in Laramie, Wyoming for 19 years my family relocated to Northern Colorado for educational and recreational opportunities for our 4 youngest children. Outside of medicine I continue to enjoy coaching my kids in their sports, as well as traveling around the region watching them compete. I also enjoy cooking, time with family and friends, and continue to cheer on University of Wyoming athletes.
