Dr. Visaya's Surgical and Otolaryngology residency training was completed at New York-Presbyterian Hospital at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons and Weill Cornell Medical College in New York. He completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine

Dr. Visaya is the author of multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and has presented original research work at national and international conferences. He is an Affiliate Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Affiliate Assistant Professor of Clinical Biomedical Science at Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine.
