He became a physician after seeing the positive impact of a Christian physician while on a mission trip, and he wanted to be able to help in his own community in a similar way. A native Kansan, Dr. Swanson’s family has now planted roots in the Blanchard, Okla. area, where they enjoy reading, sports and vegetable gardening.
