Dr. James A. McHale is Director of Cataract Surgery at Columbus Ophthalmology Associates and has been with our practice since 2004. He was born the fifth of five children in Cleveland, Ohio. Having been in practice for nearly two decades, he has grown to understand the great privilege and responsibility that comes with being an eye surgeon. Dr McHale received undergraduate degrees in Biology and Psychology from Miami University, where he also minored in Neuroscience. He went on to attend medical school and complete his residency at the Ohio State University, where he served as President of the Medical School Student Council. He also founded, managed, and played on the OSU medical soccer team.
