Bridgemark Insurance Solutions’ SD & MN roots trace back to the 1930s, with modern history beginning in 1977 when John Badgley purchased the James Kirk Agency with local investors. It later became Rothstein, Ziegler, Badgley & Kirk Insurance and rebranded as Key Insurance in the late 1980s. Key Insurance served Mobridge and surrounding communities with strong local involvement and statewide reach through the EMC Schools program MGA. Jesse Konold joined in 2006, and John Badgley IV expanded into Minnesota in 2009. They became partners in 2011, alongside John Sr., who retired in 2021. That same year, Key Insurance merged with Bain Agency to form Bridgemark Insurance Solutions, which later joined INSight Partners in 2025.
