About Derek Woessner

Derek A. Woessner, MD, FAAFP, specializes in sports medicine, concussion management and non-surgical orthopedics. He graduated cum laude from Berry College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry in Rome, GA, and he earned his medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA. After medical school, he went to the Martin Army Community Hospital at Fort Benning, GA where he completed the family medicine residency program. Following Residency, Dr. Woessner was selected to serve as a special operations physician for the 3rd Ranger Battalion.
