About Henry Kirori

It was in 2005 that Henry Kiroir, NP, decided to pursue a career in nursing. “My mother was a nurse, but I never thought I would pursue the same profession,” he says.

Always intrigued by the cardiovascular system, he chose that as his specialty. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lakeview College of Nursing, Danville, IL, and his Master of Science in Nursing from Goshen College, Goshen, IN.

His education taught him to appreciate health and life one day at a time. “I always provide the best care possible and never stop learning,” he says. Henry continues, saying he is committed to the patients he cares for and gets a satisfaction when a patient’s condition improves.

Henry said if there is something his patients have taught him it is to never take life for granted and to treat everyone with great care and respect.

Who is or was the most influential people/role models in your life?  My grandmother

What was your first job growing up? What do you remember about it?  Helping my family on the farm. Working hard and going to school.

What is your favorite food? Movie?  Favorite foods: Pilau rice with vegetables (fried)      Favorite movie: Black Panther

What was your favorite/least favorite subjects in school?  Favorite was biology and chemistry      Least favorite was history

If you could sit down to dinner with anyone (alive or deceased) who would it be and why?  My spouse and our two daughters. They are the center of my universe and my support.

In addition to medicine, what are you passionate about?  The desire to serve sick people.

What are your hobbies, interests?  Reading medical journals; sports

What is something most people don’t know about you?  I am an avid long-distance runner.
