Heather received her Bachelor's in Science in Biology from Oakland University. She furthered her studies at Grand Valley State University with a Master in Physician Assistant Studies. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Heather grew up in Alpena and married Alpena native Zachary Birmingham. They both desired to return to and serve their hometown community. They are looking forward to raising their family in the area. Heather joined Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery in February of 2019. She is fellowship trained in general and surgical dermatology. She looks forward to her career in dermatology and is happy to be able to provide skin care and education in her hometown.
