Family physicians get to have relationships over many years and decades with their patients, which is what drew me to this field. There is so much comfort in knowing your physician really knows and understands you, and I strive to provide that level of comfort to my patients. My hope is to be a long-term advocate for them. \n This field also allows me to pursue my many clinical interests, which include osteopathic manipulative treatment, integrative medicine, office procedures (ranging from dermatological to gynecological), lifestyle medicine (nutrition, exercise, overall wellness), women's health, weight management and chronic disease management. \n My approach to healthcare is patient-centered, compassionate, comprehensive and collaborative. I believe in listening carefully to patients, understanding their concerns and involving them in decision-making. I prioritize patient empowerment and strive to provide all the necessary information to help them make informed choices. \n My goal is to provide holistic care that takes into account more than just a person's physical health. I am dedicated to fostering a partnership with each patient based on trust, honesty, respect and clear communication. \n I never want a patient to leave my office without having all their questions answered. So, I work to ensure each patient gets the time he or she deserves. \n I am a Gastonia native but spent most of my life in the hills of West Virginia. That's where I earned both my undergraduate and medical degrees - and where I discovered my love for primary care. \n My family and I moved to the Charlotte area for my residency, and it instantly felt like home. \n My hobbies are as diverse as my clinical interests. I enjoy both vegetable and flower gardening - that it until about mid-July. I also love crafting and DIY projects; thrifting; decorating; event planning; hiking; traveling; walking our full-of-personality, 75-pound goldendoodle, Winnie; and hanging out with friends at a new restaurant or playing pickleball, volleyball or ultimate Frisbee.
