Dr. Ayalew is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. He is a member of the American Societies of Hematology and Clinical Oncology as well as the American College of Physicians.

He received his medical degree from Gondar College of Medical sciences, Ethiopia and completed his residency and fellowship at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center in New York where he also became the chief fellow.

Dr. Ayalew treats patients from 18 years and older and is excited to bring his expertise to the SSM Cancer Care team.
