Having a chronic medical diagnosis as a child allowed me to build close relationships with my care team. My own pediatric nurse practitioner inspired me to pursue a career in medicine. Of course, it helped that I love science and being of service to others. \n It is a privilege to help people manage their chronic disease, and I enjoy being an example for my patients. Collaborative decision making - the kind that includes provider, patient and family - is so important. I approach each patient as a unique individual and strive to meet them where they are in their healthcare journey. It takes us working together to get them feeling their best. \n I moved from Memphis, Tennessee to Charlotte, North Carolina in 2020. Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two sons and two dogs. We like to listen to music and travel - especially to the beach and mountains. You can often catch me cheering on my favorite sports teams - the Memphis Grizzlies, the Buffalo Bills and my favorite soccer teams - Charlotte FC and Liverpool FC. But I'm probably cheering loudest at my boys' youth soccer matches.
