Erica Garrett has always seen women as the family leaders, as they often make the health decisions for their entire family. This is what drove her to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. She has always been interested in supporting and educating women, as a way to create healthier families.

Erica received her Bachelor’s of Science of Nursing at Indiana University South Bend, and went on to receive her Master’s in Nursing Science with a specialty in Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky. She is also Nexplanon Certified, and a former Lactation Specialist.

“I loved working with new post-partum clients, including Neonatal Intensive Care Unit moms, to help facilitate a good lactation experience.”
Erica’s skillset includes IUD insertion, STI screening and treatment, contraception management, annual health screenings, and precepting.

In her free time, she enjoys gardening, singing, cooking, playing with her three dogs, spending time with her partner of 25 years, Marc, and their two children.
