Eric Liao, MD, JD is director of the TidalHealth Psychiatry Residency Program and provides care at TidalHealth Outpatient Behavioral Health in Salisbury. A native Washingtonian, Dr. Liao received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pa. He then returned to Washington, D.C., where he earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Georgetown University Law Center. Dr. Liao then completed his residency in general adult psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital. As a senior resident, he served as outpatient chief resident at Massachusetts General Hospital. After finishing residency training, he worked as an attending psychiatrist in academic, forensics, and private outpatient practice settings. He is a member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
