it was April 5th of 2022 I was looking online for expanding foam for my attic, the bottom of the roof to be exact. put in a request at Angie's list lane palmer owner of elite efficiency pro. was one of the 3 that to me . I told him I was adding a new a/c unit in my attic and was looking expanding foam to seal it off .told him the square foot. he came back with a price he said he didn't need to see it. that made me feel like he had done so many there was nothing he hadn't seen before. i said ok told him i needed it done asap because we were trying to finish the new a/c before it got to hot out. i pushed him a bit and he told me on Friday the 8th he could do it on sun the 10th. i said great. BTW. this was all text. i didn't talk to him until after it was sprayed. or meet him until may 2nd. i ask him one question. was the old blown in insulation going to be a problem. his answer AND I QUOTE it's better to vacuum out the old fiber if possible just sometime over the next year or two there could be long term negative effects if you don't from what I've been told. but haven't any first hand. UNQUOTE. that is all that was said about it until after it was sprayed. i figured i had a year or two to remove it. i said do it. crew showed up on time only problem was that neither of the two spoke English, should have said no. communication is key to not having problems. I was tired because I had been up in the attic prepping for them. moving my stuff around. also was pulling fiberglass bats out of the eves I'd been stuffing in for years, so the guys could see the top wall plate, where the foam is seal off the outside to the new inside. the attic would now be air conditioned. they sprayed, I went up to look AND THERE WERE HOLES IN THE NEW FOAM AT THE EVES, I was pointing and the spray guy eric new I wasn't happy. he hands me his phone with his brother who spoke English. he said the foam was mixing with the old encapsulating it, said they would fill in the holes. they finished, I paid them cash. next couple days I did homework. it was all lies, they should never spray over the old, it will never seal. never get a airlock. hot air will mix with the cold air and create moisture. condensation, that in turn will bring mold and mildew. needless to say I cant use the ac, its now July. lane said he'd fix it , but only wanted to cover it up. that wont stop the mold. now he refuses to do anything, now he says it my fault, he said he told me day one they need to vacuum out the old, first that's a lie. secondly not only did he not even mention it he never offered that service. now months after his website shows they do that. not a word. its going to take a lot of labor to fix this . he says its not his problem. he is a liar. look elsewhere beware he is a bad guy.
