I have been working in the nursing field since 1996 in both acute and outpatient settings. I focus on holistic patient care. I believe the patient needs to be confident in the care he receives in both mind and body and kindness can be the one single ingredient that ensures proper healing. Mental health is an area of expertise I have always been interested in but was not able to pursue right out of college due to a lack of places to work in rural communities. There are deserts of areas out there with no mental health care services. I graduated in May of 2019 with a Master of Science in Nursing and certification as a PMHNP (psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner).
