I am a 37-year-old homeschooling mother of three. My journey to founding Peterson Functional Medicine has been a deeply personal and transformative one. After dedicating 12 years of my life to the Army, I transitioned into the field of healthcare, becoming a nurse practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. Throughout my career, I have witnessed the limitations of mainstream medicine which often focuses on treating symptoms rather than addressing the root causes of health issues. This realization fueled my passion to create a practice that prioritizes holistic care, where the entire patient is considered, not just their ailments.
