Dr. Alexander Hynes is a Colorado native who moved to Texas in 2017. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biology from Colorado State University–Pueblo and a Master of Biomedical Sciences from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed medical school at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine.

He went on to complete his anesthesiology residency (2021) and pain medicine fellowship (2022) at UT Health San Antonio, where he served as Chief Resident and was named Resident of the Year. He also received multiple honors for humanism and teaching and served as an assistant professor during his training.

Dr. Hynes joined Greater Austin Pain Center in 2022.
