FOR An EGYPTIAN IMMIGRANT WITH VERY LITTLE MONEY AND (IN HIS WORDS) "ZERO ENGLISH", CHASING THE AMERICAN DREAM HAS BEEN EXCITING BUT ALSO INCREDIBLY HUMBLING. OLD REGULARS WHO STILL VISIT US TODAY REMEMBER THE PLASTIC CHAIRS IN OUR TINY RESTAURANT, WHICH COULD SEAT JUST SIX GUESTS AT A TIME.
