Dr. David Sechler has been practicing on Delmarva since 1997, after serving four years in the United States Navy as an active-duty Lt. Commander and general surgeon in Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Dr. Sechler earned his medical degree at the College of Virginia in Richmond, Va. and completed his residency at the Medical Center of Delaware in Newark, Del. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons.

Dr. Sechler has served as the Chief of General Surgery at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional for 10 years and has been performing stereotactic breast biopsies for the past twelve years. With his extensive and ongoing training, Dr. Sechler was the first general surgeon to perform the stereotactic breast biopsies in the Salisbury area and is one of the leading breast surgeons treating patients at the TidalHealth Breast Center.
