Dr. Hankins graduated from Dartmouth College and worked in education for several years before attending medical school at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. He completed psychiatry residency at Weill Cornell Medicine, where he was chief resident, and an addiction psychiatry fellowship at New York University. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Hankins is also active in medical education, teaching medical students, residents and fellows.
