I started my medical profession as a nurse’s aide (CNA). After deciding to pursue nursing, I chose the quickest path which was an associate’s degree. While I was quite skilled, I noticed bachelor’s nurses possessed some knowledge that I couldn’t identify which I later realized during my bachelor’s education was the ability to think critically. As an associate degree prepared nurse, I knew that to do but not necessarily why it was done a certain way. From there I was hooked.
