Dr. Scott developed an interest in musculoskeletal medicine while working professionally as a dancer with the companies of Jose Limon and Bill T. Jones. He graduated from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and served his internship in internal medicine at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at NewYork-Presbyterian (Columbia/Weill Cornell), where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Scott trained in primary care sports medicine as a clinical fellow at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. During his fellowship, he worked with dancers and musicians at the Boston Ballet, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Boston Arts Academy, and the Walnut Hill School for the Arts. He served as team physician for Northeastern University’s Division I women’s basketball team and the Newton South High School football team. Dr. Scott is a member of the International Association for Dance Medicine and Sciences, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
