Got Strong Armed for $1,500 by the Owner, Ty Vincent
SUMMARY
Sent the owner, Ty Vincent, 25 initial kits to make and ship. We got 2 quality-control demos of our kits from him which were sloppy in detail. We said we did not want to continue and he said we had to pay him $1,500 to return our 23 remaining kits otherwise he would throw them in the trash. We got scammed and other professionals in the industry agree with us.
DETAILS
We dealt only with the owner, Ty Vincent. Sent him enough product to make us 25 of our kits. He made and shipped us 2 kits so we could see the quality of their work. The first one was very sloppy and loose, the second one had black smudges on our main product.
We told him we were not going to continue and wanted him to send us back our 23 kits. We said, we know you've spent time on this so please let us know what you owe us.
He said it would cost...
$1,500... Yes... $1,500 to return our 23 remaining kits and if we did not pay, he would throw them in the trash.
He basically held our product hostage if we did not pay his astronomically ridiculous fee.
We got scammed and other professionals in the industry agree with us.
POORLY RETURNED EQUIPMENT
We received our equipment and products that he send back today. They were so poorly packed. One of the boxes was a big mess of products that were just thrown in. Another box with our equipment had no padding added and the gear tossed around during shipping. It looks like he did this on purpose. I would expect a packing company to do a professional job, but this was a 3 out of 10 job.
When we confronted him about it he said "maybe it was a UPS issue".
