Business Information
Since 1963, the Improvisation Comedy Clubs have set the standard for live stand-up in the U.S., launching generations of comedy’s biggest stars. The original Improv opened in New York City in 1963, shaping modern stand-up and serving as a proving ground for legends like Robin Williams, Andy Kaufman, and George Carlin. Though the NYC location closed in 1992, the legacy never faded.

Now, 34 years later, the Improv returns to New York with a new home in Brooklyn at 64 N 9th Street in Williamsburg, near the Bedford Ave subway and North Williamsburg ferry — bringing top comedians and rising stars back to NYC.
