A name taken from a prestigious British automobile has evolved into a prominent family-owned restaurant that has withstood the test of time at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Clarence and Margaret Ziegler founded Bentley’s Restaurant & Pub in St. Louis more than four decades ago, and then opened the Lake area restaurant at 3100 Bagnell Dam Blvd, Lake Ozark, MO 65049 in 1974. Current owner Bill Ziegler said his parents were in search of a name for their original restaurant on Manchester Street in Des Peres near St. Louis. They happened to see a Bentley car and were attracted to the name. Ultimately, the quality of the British automobile has been reflected in the dedication to quality and consistency at the restaurant.
