The Behavioral Health Science Center at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg has an Adult Behavioral Health Unit and an Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit. Both are short-term care units with treatment programs designed to help stabilize adults and adolescents (ages 12 to 18) in severe acute crisis and return them to a less-intensive level of care. The average length of stay is about one week.
