Dr Peterson is originally from Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Truman State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in biology and health science. At Truman State University, Dr Peterson swam for the bulldogs and met her now husband Ben. She then went to the University of Missouri St. Louis College of Optometry where she studied optometry. After completing her doctorate in 2019, she went to San Antonio, Texas for an ocular disease and traumatic brain injury residency. Now, Dr Peterson is living in Naples dedicated to helping the children of Collier County through the Naples Children and Education Foundation and providing comprehensive eye care to her community.
