I think the best nurse practitioners have a skill of listening and really almost being a detective with getting the root of issues and listening to not just the surface of what people say when they come to the doctors' office. A lot of times we're limited by time, so we have to keep digging to find the real root of what people are presenting us and making sure that we're asking the right questions to determine how we can best meet their needs.
