Anthony Brooks Plumbing

I was referred to Anthony Brooks Plumbing by my colleague in the Real Estate industry. On August 30th, Anthony came to repair my toilet which was stopped up due to a water bottle being stuck down the toilet by the previous tenants, prior to me purchasing this home on August 26th.
I was out of town but had my mother staying at my house. Anthony and his daughter came and did the repairs but scratched the toilet when fishing out the bottle. My mother mentioned the damage to Anthony and he stated that it is common and there was a solution that she could buy to get it to go away. After trying the solution, the scratch still didn’t come out. When I returned to Houston, I reached out to Anthony to address the damage, and he stated he didn’t know why the solution didn’t work. I let it go.
On March 20th, I was having issues with the primary bathroom toilet where the water wouldn’t rise back up. Anthony came out and told me that my flapper and valve needed to be replaced. I asked him the cost and he stated that it would be $150. I agreed and he left to go pick up the materials needed. Once finished, Anthony showed me what he replaced and then quoted me $180. I asked why the price difference and he stated that the quote didn’t include materials. I wasn’t happy about it, but went ahead and paid for it.
My same toilet is now releasing more water than necessary and when I called to bring this up to Anthony, he said that the base needs to be replaced and that I should have told him that. I explained to him that I am not a plumber and wanted whatever needed to be done so that my toilet is fixed. His response was, “if you want me to drive way out there, I’m going to charge you north of $200 fix it”.
Anthony is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL (he went on and on about wanting to see my mother again) on top of his UNSATISFACTORY work and nickel and dime pricing strategy (overcharging anywhere he can). I would not recommend him or his company for plumbing services.
