She went on to complete her surgical residency training at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Northern Virginia, one of the most prestigious podiatric surgery programs in the country. While there, she performed a variety of lower extremity procedures including foot and ankle trauma, forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction, total ankle replacements and minimally invasive bunion surgery. Dr. Emirzian also served as chief resident and was involved with numerous research publications throughout her training. She is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and The American Podiatric Medical Association. While she has extensive experience in all areas of foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Emirzian has a special interest in pediatric and adult flatfoot reconstruction, arthritis, minimally invasive bunions, foot and ankle trauma, and sports medicine. She also has specialized training in arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques.
Whether it be conservative care or surgical intervention, Dr. Emirzian strives to deliver personalized and compassionate care. No two patients are the same and she understands the importance of tailoring medical care to the individual. Her goal is to work with you to coordinate the best care consistently, supported by the latest technology and evidence-based medicine.
Dr. Emirzian enjoys spending her free time being outdoors with her husband and dog, Indie. As she has participated in competitive sports most of her life, she enjoys running, cycling, and generally remaining active. She is also a big foodie and enjoys exploring local restaurants and cooking for her friends and family. She is excited to return to her southern California roots and practice in a region where she can treat patients, and deliver high-quality care that supports a long-term active and healthy lifestyle.
