Amy C. Shah, M.D., MSBA, is a psychiatrist with Norton Behavioral Medicine. Dr. Shah earned her medical degree from the UofL School of Medicine. She completed her residency in adult psychiatry and a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio,. Dr. Shah is board certified in adult and geriatric psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and in addiction medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine. She also holds an master’s degree in business analytics.

Dr. Shah is an experienced therapist, proficient in short-term psychotherapy modalities including supportive, insight-oriented and dialectical behavioral therapy. She has a commitment to a holistic, integrated approach to patient care while addressing a wide spectrum of mental health needs. She integrates comprehensive psychiatric expertise with a passion for holistic well-being and a strong foundation in business and community service.

Her lifelong commitment to helping others began with extensive community service and volunteer work during high school, profoundly shaping her path to becoming a community psychiatrist. Dr. Shah continues to champion social causes, serving on the boards of several nonprofit organizations.
