Founded in 1987 by Austinites Leonard and Dottie Strickler, American Water began as a family business built on a passion for improving water quality in Central Texas. Since then, the company has provided trusted solutions for well and city water across Austin and surrounding areas, including West Lake Hills, Bee Cave, San Patricio County, Refugio, and Corpus Christi. In 1997, American Water expanded its product line to offer even more comprehensive water treatment options.
