Dr Colon completed her undergraduate training at the University of Florida (UF) where she obtained a major in Biology and a minor in Health Disparities in Society. She went on to complete her medical school training at UF, graduating in the top quartile. She completed her Dermatology training at Howard University in Washington, DC where she had assignments at Howard University Hospital, DC VA Medical Center, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and Children’s National Hospital. In her final year of residency, she served as chief resident.
Dr Colon is a published author of several articles and textbooks in medical and cosmetic dermatology.
