Dr. Alexis Sawyer chose to become a physician because of her strong interest in science and the enjoyment of interacting with patients and their families. "One of the main reasons that I went into pediatrics is because it's an area of medicine where you can do a lot of good through prevention," said Dr. Sawyer. "My philosophy is all about prevention. I need to be at the forefront in preventing your child's major illnesses by immunizing them and doing good, thorough well-checks. It's my responsibility to take care of the family as a whole by taking the best care of patients.
