Dr. Ruiz first became interested in medicine as a teenager in Donna, TX. He went to medical school at Michigan State University and returned to Texas for the residency program at Texas Tech University Health Science Center - Permian Basin. He is certified by the America Dr. Ruiz chose family medicine for the opportunity to treat a wide range of patients. He is proud to be providing medical care in South Texas because it's how he gives back to the community where he grew up. In his spare time, Dr. Ruiz enjoys spending time with his wife
