Dr Awad received his medical degree from Cairo University in Cairo, Egypt. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Penn State Milton S Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, as well as a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.
