Dr. Kumar is a pediatric surgeon at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. She sees patients at the hospital’s main campus in St. Petersburg, Florida, and at Tampa General Hospital and HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. She joined the hospital staff in 2024.

She earned her medical degree from Texas A&M College of Medicine-Baylor Scott & White.
