Adam Nowlan, MD is a board-certified radiation oncologist, currently practicing and serving as Medical Director of the radiation oncology department at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Nowlan is very active in clinical research activities. He previously chaired the Piedmont Healthcare Institutional Review Board and is an active member of the Piedmont Hospital Oncology Scientific Review Committee. Dr. Nowlan has been named to sit on the recently convened Piedmont Healthcare Oncology Clinical Governance Committee, responsible for executive guidance of system initiatives. Dr. Nowlan serves as the Piedmont Healthcare principal investigator for the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group clinical trials that are open at Piedmont Hospital locations in Buckhead, Atlanta and Fayette. Dr. Nowlan is a member of the clinical trials team at the recently launched Piedmont Hospital Brain Tumor Center. Throughout his medical experience, Dr. Nowlan's work has appeared in several publications, and he has engaged in research projects and presentations on a wide variety of relevant radiation oncology subjects. In his spare time, Dr. Nowlan enjoys skiing, watching roller derby and spending time with his wife and family.
