Born in Baku, Azerbaijan, I was raised in Saint Petersburg Russia. My background has
told me to be flexible and to work with people with different backgrounds. Since
childhood I always wanted to understand human nature. I was interested how human
body works and when it was time to decide upon my future career had no doubts about
enrolling medical school. Later I chose to be hematologist/oncologist because of
interest in basic science and new research. I strongly believe that a successful medical
practice can only be based on profound scientific knowledge with continuous
improvement of wants clinical skills. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to the study
medicine at Pavlov Medical University in Saint Petersburg Russia where each student
had a chance to deal with a wide range of patients. When I moved to United States, I
did my training at East Tennessee State University. I really enjoyed living and working
in this part of the country due to natural beauty of South Appalachian. It is a perfect
spot for one of my favorite hobbies: mountain biking and hiking.
