A. Pompo Electric was established in 1964 by Andrew Pompo. It all started with a $500.00 loan. The story is that he invested $250.00 into electrical materials and the other $250.00 went to groceries for his growing family of 4, ultimately having 8 children. in 1969 the company was incorporated and has been going strong for 55 years. Residential electrical work is where A. Pompo Electric started wiring over several hundred homes in the centran New York area in the 1970's. in 1980, the company changed its focus to commercial wiring and prime municipal work for the state, federal government, and other local municipalities. In 2000, A. Pompo Electric developed relationships with national general contractors to do electrical work in retail, restaurants, hotels, and office buildings. A. Pompo Electric has done projects ranging from $200.00 to $2.5 million dollars. Andrew Pompo retired from the company in 2018 after 54 years of service to the central New York area. the company is now owned by his sons, Andrew (Drew) Pompo and George Pompo.
