I am on my 10th day work out and I am in love with the structured class setting. I feel more confident and stronger everyday. I have been looking for a place like this for a long time and now that I have found it I am so excited to be there. I may not be able to do everything everyone else can but the instructors modify the work out for ma and I am still sweating and still getting my workout done. I love it and it the best place hands down!!!

I Love Kickboxing is the most fun workout I've ever done! The facility is very nice and clean, everyone is so friendly, I actually enjoy working out for the first time in a long time! I recommend giving it a try, you won't regret it!

In our world today there seems to be quite a bit of unrest and division. A large number of people are voicing their opinions and there appears to be more disagreement than I’ve ever witnessed in my life. There is, however, one thing that I think almost everyone can agree on…everyone wants to be healthy. Those who aren’t in shape want to be in shape and those who are fit want to maintain their fitness.
The New Year wasn’t that long ago, and, as always, millions of people revised their resolution to exercise more. Sound great –but not so easy. After the initial two to four week commitment – whether it’s at a gym or at home, daily life sneaks back in and that initial commitment dwindles. I know that’s happened to me over the years. Whether it’s an “ab building promise” gizmo or the latest and greatest 8 week fitness fad it never sticks around. Why is that, you ask…well, my opinion (after having many a gizmo suffocate from dust in my basement) is that we don’t need a gizmo or a fad – we need a lifestyle change.
Lucky for me, I think I’ve stumbled on to that change. By chance, I saw a post on Facebook about a place called I Love Kickboxing. Hmmmm, sounds kind of fun…can try three classes for less than $20. I think I’ll give it a go. I was very nervous the first night and thought I wouldn’t make it past the warm-up, but by the end of class I was hooked. Now, by no means is this kickboxing class to train you to take on an opponent in the ring – there are other gyms for that. Nor is it to give you the skills to take out that annoying neighbor or co-worker (please don’t – that would be bad and wrong; very bad, very wrong). This is a fantastic fitness program. It is a full-body workout – your entire body will confirm that the day or two after your first class. It’s fun, it’s active, and it will help you meet your fitness goals. The instructors are friendly and motivating and more than willing to work with you. I have problems with my knees and have had a broken back and they help modify various exercises so I can do them.
I realize that a structured class is not for everybody and kudos to those of you who actually workout at home. For me, making the commitment to get up and drive to class ensures that I get my workout in. I can’t say at this point (one month in) that the warm-up still doesn’t make me want to curl up in the fetal position, but I know by the end of class that I’m going to feel great.
So…for those looking for that life style change to invest in your health, checkout I Love Kickboxing in Cedar Rapids for a great total body workout. The instructors are there for you and will guide you through all the basic punches and kick so that you are using proper form and prevent any injuries. It’s fun, it’s friendly, and it’s FITNESS at ILKB!

Awesome workout and awesome people. The first time I've looked forward to a work out class. Great environment of non-judgmental and encouraging people for members of ALL fitness levels. The instructors genuinely care about each member and their fitness journey. I am proud to be part of it!!

This is the best hour workout of my life, 3-4 times a week. The music is jamming, instructors are motivating , family is there! If you want the best hour workout that shows results, this is the place to be! Best decision ever!

ILKB rocks! The instructors know everyone by name and are always upbeat and positive! The workout is different everyday and always intense but so much fun. I am glad I am part of such an amazing group!

ILKB Cedar Rapids is a full body work out! The instructors are amazing and push you to give it 100%. They time to actually get to know you and help you along your healthy lifestyle change. After class we get a fit tip of the day which I always find very informational. Best decision I have ever made.

ILKB is not only a great place to get a full body workout. their staff will help you with diet plans, fit tips, and even thrown in a joke ever now and then!! I absolutely love going to this gym to get my workout! The workouts are intense and super fun! The instructors are all awesome, and they push you to push yourself a little bit harder each time!

I love love love, ilovekickboxing! The people are amazing and the workout is intense but fun. I am always excited to get to my class and cant wait to come back when its done. The instructors are willing to help you no matter what and give you modifications if necessary. I was hooked on my first class and have gone 3 to 4 times a week sense. Love it!

This place is amazing! The staff are super helpful and welcoming. The workouts are high intensity and fly by. Not to mention the amazing music blasting in the background!

I absolutely love Ilovekickboxing! It's fun, fast-paced, and energizing! The staff is encouraging, friendly, and down to earth. The gym is always clean and organized. As a mom of three, it's hard to find time to workout, let alone the extra energy, but I look forward to going to ILoveKickboxing because it's so much fun and I get a great workout in without feeling like I'm working out. I've been going since they opened and I not only feel stronger and more fit, but I feel better and more confident about myself!
